Welcome to the inaugural episode of The Expat Entrepreneur!
I’m excited to have you join and in this first episode we’re going to start by defining the term “expat entrepreneur” and what you should expect with this podcast.
The truth is that there are a lot of different categories of expat entrepreneurs including:
- Digital nomads
- Travel bloggers
- Brick-and-mortar entrepreneurs
- Freelancers
Even if you don’t fit into one of these categories, there’s a good chance that you could still consider yourself an “expat entrepreneur”.
I’m not here to put you or me in a box. What I’d like to do is acknowledge the fact that doing business outside of your home country is different than being an entrepreneur at home. It takes a different risk tolerance, a different drive and a different kind of passion.
If you want to know a little bit more about me, Josh Summers, check out the About page of this website.
My passion is to see people making a positive impact around the world through business. Every expat is an influencer because people are watching us. We must personally decide how we wield that influence.
Until next week, take care!
